On November 5, 2008, The department of health inspected the Maccabeam Restaurant, located at 128 South 12th Street. The health inspector cited the restaurant for 8 critical health violations. Most notable were:
Roach infestation was present.
Mouse infestation was present. Fresh mouse dropping observed throughout establishment.
Food was not protected from contamination. Mouse dropping observed on food prep and food contact surfaces, live roach in refrigeration unit.
